IN MY OPINION, NUTRITION IS ONE OF THE EASIEST THINGS WE AS HUMANS CAN CONTROL IN THE PURSUIT OF OUR CHOSEN EXCELLENCE.
- Bailey Rogers, Head Nutrition Coach
Hey, I’m Bailey, Founder and Head Nutrition Coach here at Enhanced Nutrition.
I have been coaching CrossFit for 10 years and love seeing people’s journey through their introduction to CrossFit, realizing their athletic potential and achieving goals they dream of! I studied a Bachelor of Science (Anatomy) at University of Otago, and study Nutrition Coaching under the Holistic Performance Institute.
My biggest notable achievements have been competing with my Team at the 2017 CrossFit Games, as well as multiple appearances at the Oceania Semifinals and the Rogue Invitational in 2022. I am also a 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games NZ representative for Olympic Weightlifting, with my best placing being 4th on the Gold Coast.
I was first exposed to the importance of nutrition after what I consider a failed attempt at being a high performance Olympic Weightlifter. In a sport that requires you to compete in weight-classes, I very naively tried to expect the best of my body while fuelling it terribly (read: over-eating, under-eating, dehydration, REDs, metal and emotional trauma).
Post-traumatic event, I enlisted the help of my now very good friend and nutritionist, Kate Irvine. Kate has not only guided and educated me on a personal level, but has helped influence my interest and passion into studying nutrition myself. I feel I have great understanding of the situations and struggles people are going through because I have been through them myself. I have learned with help from Kate and also with further study, how to help others through these struggles and be the best versions of themselves.
In my opinion, nutrition is one of the easiest things we as humans can control in the pursuit of our chosen excellence.
